The game itself was a bit janky and glitchy at times. The health was broken and the first level had wonky controls and a glitchy hitbox. The graphics could also be a bit better. The text overlay was also weird and they tend to overlap.
The storyline was pretty good however there were some issues with the text being overlaid on top of other text like with the dialogue in the beginning. Also the sprites were misconfigured, likely something with the sprite size being different leading to you teleporting up when you stop moving
I really like the dialogue. It’s very charming, and has a cute and simple story. I saw some items at the top of the screen, which I didn’t know how to reach, and there were only four real enemies. The tumbleweed also glitches you out, and the cacti are hard to jump over.
I liked the story of this game, so far it has had the most in-depth story with dialogue. The most confusing part was the dialogue controls. When I’d press certain buttons the dialogue would reset and I’d have to sit through a very long dialogue scene. Graphics were very blurry and hard to see at times. The characters were simple, but fit into the story nicely. The storyline is the most fleshed out so far. The game made sense as well, but the sprites were very buggy. They moved around in weird ways and the movement was super hard to use when it came to obstacles. To improve the game I would probably make the movement better, as well as trying to make the graphics less blurry.
The game has a story and decent art. I was confused why my character kept teleporting which made it hard to do the parkour. Games graphics were good with good art in the back. The bugs it had were the tele[porting/glitching. Just fixing the visual movement.
Score: 2/10
Notes: TOO BUGGY FOR ME TO PLAY!!! It’s probably playable but the collision masks tested my patience and I am NOT having it.There’s some decent story going on, and the graphics are interesting; I’m just… I can’t play games where I can’t do my basic platform maneuvers.
Overall: 3/10
Graphics: 3/10
Story: 5/10
Ease of Play: 2/10
Notes: Collision is janky, dialogue was a nice touch, life system is bugged
This game needed some work. I wish the character didn’t change dimensions when moving, as it causes platforming to be incredibly difficult. I liked the text system in the game, but it felt unnecessary. The gun system also felt underutilized.
Capybara seemed like a game currently in progress, so I will treat it like such. The dialogue was interesting - it’s something I haven’t really seen in other games. Having to move back and forth to trigger the dialogue wasn’t great, as it wasn’t very intuitive. The artwork was pretty good - it looked nice and fit the scene. As a suggestion, I would recommend making the dialogue update on keypress of mouse click, and making the parkour part a little easier.
Game was bugged and the hitboxes were too big for the character to jump over
I liked the graphics and designs
4/10
[ The storyline was very funny, and the graphics seem pretty neat, however what’s struggling to me the most is that, the mechanics with left and right, and the repositioning is very uneven and does not correlate with its position. It was pretty difficult to move past the obstacles due to this. Also I think there was some grammar problems? ]
Health can go into negatives, opening cutscene has overlapping text boxes and drags on for too long, far too short (for actual gameplay sections), art is ok, (2/10)
The game was pretty fun. The only confusing part was to beat the tiger. The graphics were not bad. The characters were a bit weird but it wasn’t bad. I’m not sure what exactly the storyline was. The game made some sense and I experienced no bugs. The game could be improved by fixing the player's hit box and when it stands still.
It was cool and fun. The story was interesting but the characters were nice, the graphics were nice as well and in all the game can be fixed a bit.
Not to be insulting but the capybaras look traumatised, the text and animations are also very buggy, interesting story though?
The sprite’s collision masks are inconsistent, which makes the main character jump up and down when switching between animations. The hearts also go off the screen. I could not get very far in the game.
The game has a good story to it, but the graphics lacked pixels and little action to it. The characters were alright and nothing that really stands out to me while playing the game. There were a good amount of bugs in the game like my character teleporting when moving, a lot of things could be improved such as the graphics and fixing the movement of the character.
Okay game. Great dialogue but the characters' hitbox for walking is really scuffed. Very short gameplay and a lot of reading. Dialogue can be used to increase play time.
I like the graphics of this game but something that confused me was how the animation changed when the character stopped moving because it looked like it was jumping and I thought I was making it jump. I also like the dialogue.
Can’t really jump far, and the game was too short. It was a decent game overall.
There could be improvements to the design and quality of the characters and environment. The dialogue in the beginning would overlap at times and make it hard to read and also had spelling mistakes (that might be intentional). Additionally, the obstacles could be bigger to match the character and enemies.
At the start if I go inside the tent then just keep moving left I lose health and once I lose all of it nothing happens. The jumps don’t feel hard, they feel more kind of weird to do because if you stop moving your character's model changes from longer to a short taller. The story was pretty easy to follow, interesting, and funny at the end.
The graphics are basic, but overall pretty good. This one does have a storyline. Some of the dialogue text overlaps each other, making it a bit hard to read. The falling animation when walking makes it difficult to maneuver with. We can't die, even when our health is gone. I can't get past the second page.
game is not working health goes into negative you teleport whenever you go from standing to walking
art is bad, the game is very janky and the game seems unfinished
I like the cutscenes. My only critique is that the character teleports around a bunch when swapping animations.
its aight, the animations are painful because they move teleport my hitbox and it gets me killed, the sprites are kinda silly looking cuz theres no running animation or jumping animation. Not 2 minutes
ALIOT of text. I like that the apple guy gives you a gun and the standing capybaras are funny. Not a fun game but it was a fun experience. 5/10
The first game I've played with an obvious storyline (which I found very creative). The enemy dying animation is hilarious, but that's about the ONLY animation in the game.
3.3, you cant die, the hotbox changes a LOT and its really difficult to move because of it, its unclear how to kill the tiger thing idk, also the capybara gets wider, also the art seems stretched and very low res
The game was okay, the dialogue dragged on for a while, there's not much level and the hearts don’t work, the graphics are decent, 3/10
Unskipable cutscene. Also the player model is bugged so that when you stop moving, the characters position isnt the same spot, and goes above. Also you cant die
The text at the start overlaps and the enemy capybaras should stop moving when they die and are in their death animation. And with most games, I want a reason to not spam the gun.
Artwork could be improved
I couldn’t do the parkour
Not sure what the story is
The game was a little glitchy. It was a decent game and was lowkey cute.
The graphics are good, and this game has a storyline that I can understand. The dialogue in the beginning overlaps a little at some point but it’s still readable. The health mechanic works but only when gaining and losing health, there’s no death scene so when you “die” the health just goes negative. The health also resets after changing scenes. There’s an issue with the walking mechanic which messes up the player in parkour when you walk and stop. The grammar in the dialogue also needs to be fixed. The game is beginner friendly and overall nice to play aside from the few bugs. Some sounds would be nice to have.
