The graphics were good and the gameplay was okay. There wasn’t a storyline from what I could see and the controls were a bit bothersome for me. I think fixing up or changing the controls could help improve the game.
Score: 5/10
Notes: All requirements are met, but the sounds could be quieter so they’re not so ear piercing.
It’s pretty good, however the controls were kind of a slog to use. There also wasn’t much of a story in the game. The time counter could also be improved since it looks nothing like a time counter so there isn't really a way to tell that you need to finish the game in a certain amount of time.
Bunker Bara had a crouch, which not a lot of games have. The graphics were pretty good - it was pretty easy to tell what each thing was supposed to be. The characters were easy to identify as capybaras. The story line seemed to be some war, but other than that there wasn’t much. As far as improvements go, I would say the controls could’ve been a little better. Having to use the mouse, arrow keys, and space meant stretching my left hand to manipulate the arrows and space. Using WASD instead of arrows could’ve worked better, or making jump the up arrow instead of space.
Overall: 6/10
Graphics: 6/10
Story: 6/10
Ease of Play: 8/10
Notes: Okay in terms of meeting requirements. Felt very slow. Death sound was bugged. Jump was too loud.
This game was a pretty good platformer. I enjoyed the themes of the game with the war aesthetic and melon gun. The controls were hard to use though as I had to stretch my hand between arrow keys and space bar. I also wish the movement of the character was slightly faster. The art was very simplistic, but never confusing.
This game was pretty average overall. The most confusing part was the barbed wire obstacle where I didn’t really know what to do. The game's graphics weren’t super special, it was pretty similar to other games in terms of quality. The characters and story were funny and I liked the idea of a capybara commando type of story. The game made sense, there weren’t many bugs, but if I were to improve the game I would make it so there was more content including weapons, items, and enemies, as well as better controls.
This is a very charming game. I love the capybara war, and you can really see how crazy war gets. The timer adds tension as well. I will say, I don’t like not being able to jump, shoot, and move at the same time. The first barbed wire section needs work, since the bomb doesn’t give space to jump.
3/10
[ Graphics are Mediocre, sound effects are too loud. The game could have been fun if there weren't a lot of enemies to stop you every 2 seconds. There isn’t really a storyline to this. ]
Movement was good, animations were good
No bugs
The graphics were nice
There was a storyline. Pretty much the capybara had a watermelon gun and had to kill others. I think the characters were in the military
The game made sense
Other key factors were good
Maybe add some more to the game, I got a little bored as the concept stayed the same and repeated itself
Good game, not confusing graphics, were pretty good and nice. The charters were all capybara so ok. The story line was about getting to a nuclear bunker. The game made sense and no bugs and in all no needed improvement.
This was a pretty fun game, I liked how simple it was. As for the graphics of this game, it wasn’t bad; I think it’s pretty good. The characters were nice, they were all capybaras and you knew which one were the enemies because of their knives. I’m not sure if there was a storyline but I think it is probably some nuke or big explosion and you're going to the bunker for protection. The game made sense and I knew what to do. There were no bugs and I don’t think there is much need for improvement but I guess they could add some extra enemies instead of the capybaras with knives.
Art was good, movement was too slow, control scheme was horrible (you needed 2 people to jump and shoot at the same time), not the most fun (score: 5/10)
I like the theme of the game, however the controls for the game are not very well thought out, I have to choose between moving jumping over obstacles and firing the gun leading to more pauses and waiting, plus the damages tend to be applied pretty randomly, overall not very bad but I would like them to fix the control scheme
I really liked the theme which fit the prompt and the graphics were nice, but the control format could be switched to “wasd” for easier use and there is no display of health.
The sprites for the capybara and bullets are visually pleasing, but there is no health bar, and bullets do not disappear after hitting objects. Additionally, a WASD control system would make more sense for the game given the natural placement of one’s hands during gameplay.
The thing that stood out the most to me were the graphics. I thought they were really good and I thought the game was really fun. It made me curious as to what the story was about. I wasn’t sure what the ammo at the beginning was for or if the player was supposed to pick it up but either way it’s a small detail and I think the game was fun to play.
Really nice map, lots of action, great ending, great aesthetic, great concept and overall the best platformer so far.
Slow movement, horrible control scheme with having mouse to shoot and space to jump
The gameplay and quality is good, there’s a small storyline going on that I can understand. There’s a bug where the army soldiers don’t kill you and send you to the death screen but instead leave you with zero hearts but still playing. The game is playable and good overall.
The game looks really well designed. The only issue I have is that the controls feel really weird. I would have preferred to use wasd to move because then I have my right hand for the mouse to shoot. The controls just feel weird to use as either I move with one hand on the arrow keys and the other on space or I shoot with the mouse. Other than that the game is super fun to play.
I like the art, the game runs well, my only issue is that the controls are spread around the key board, so you can’t move, run, and shoot at the same time. If the game used WASD controls I’d like it a lot more.
its alright theres no health and the enemies are weird but good story
The graphics are okay, a little basic but overall pretty good.
Artwork is bad, controls are awkward
I like the animations and the enemy designs, only complaint is that things still kill me after theyre dead and Im not able to see my health.
I really liked the art and the gameplay loop is fun. It's like metal slug. The enemies take a lil too long to die so you end up feeling trapped most of the time. 8/10
Another military concept. Getting stale. You move sooooo slow in this game and I cant even see my health, also when you kill something their hitbox still lingers and that kills me a couple times, but the art is cutesy.
7, it was alright, the collisions could be better, especially the crouching part, and for some reason the bombs were affected by parallax, but i liked the art
This game was okay, I really like the artstyle but the overall game felt slow and repetitive. It was a cool game though 8/10
game was fun, and not too hard. I did have a hard time playing without the wasd movement though
Make the controls wasd, it is very awkward to have shooting and moving on your right hand side and jumping being space makes it harder to move while shooting. And with most games, I want a reason to not spam the gun.
Clear-ish story?
Clear pixel art
Functional game
Cool timer
Its cool and has a good pace
