So I get the machine home and immediately start to take it apart but alas, there are no keys to open it up. I order a reproduction of the keys, remove the glass, padding and fake wood melamine edging.

Two weeks later, the keys arrive and I get to open it up. This is where the next level of mystery begins, there is a bill of sale from one Timothy Torres to a  Mr McCoy. In any other part of the world, this wouldn’t be very interesting but this happens to be in Fresno, home of Freestyle Legend Timmy T aka Timothy Torres. So I get on Instagram and send a DM to Timmy T asking him if it was once his machine. No answer

I team the machine down, every screw, nut and bold has been removed. I clean every part with a cotton swab, there is 44 years of dirt and dust in the machine and start removing the old paint.

Nooooo!!!!! The machine has already been painted once and they just hit it with pain over rusty metal so off I go to the hardware store to get paint stripper, a wire brush and primer paint.

Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. Scrape. This is ridiculous, I has no idea how much work this was going to be. I quickly realize it is not a good idea to be sitting around fumes in a poorly ventilated area so I open the garage and scrape in the driveway. It is a nice day out so every single person in the neighborhood was out walking around and checked the weirdo neighbor scraping metal. Three hours later, it is ready to prime but my old bones are tired so I clean everything up and decide to paint another day.

You are to be working on this project the entire time we are in class with the exception of English Time. No phone, no other games, just work.
